Our team welcomes you
Our aim is to make our campsite, Les Chalets du Périgord in the Dordogne, close to Sarlat town center, a welcoming, friendly place full of encounters. To make the most of your stay, we accept arrivals every day of the week, even in July and August.
Tourist information on the caves, gardens and castles of the Dordogne can be found at reception, and we’ll be happy to advise you. If you’re looking for a restaurant, we can help you too. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere, a human-sized team and a personalized welcome are the rhythms of your stopover at our family campsite in the Dordogne.
Wifi
If you’d like to stay in touch with friends, family or neighbors and share all the riches of the Dordogne with them, you can do so from the comfort of your own home.
Wifi is available free of charge throughout the campsite and in your accommodation, so it’s up to you to share your photos and posts on social networks.
Laundry at the campsite
At our family campsite in the Dordogne, you’ll find a laundry area with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
During your stay and for your convenience, you can have access to a washing machine with a token (price: €4.00) provided at reception. You don’t need to worry about bringing your own washing powder– you’ll find it at the reception of our family campsite.
When you return from canoeing, swimming in the pool or swimming in the Dordogne, a tumble dryer is at your disposal to make your stay in the Dordogne even easier.
Campsite close to shops in Sarlat
Our campsite in Sarlat is ideally located, close to the historic center and thus to the market, but also to supermarkets and other shops.
A 20-minute walk will take you to the market held in the old town on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You’ll also find plenty of local stores to bring home a few Dordogne souvenirs. For a snack or an evening dessert, try the delicious artisanal ice creams available in Sarlat and the surrounding villages.
If you forgot to pack your swimsuit, don’t worry, there are several sports stores in Sarlat. So you won’t leave without enjoying our beautiful swimming pool.
Bread and barbecue at the campsite
Book in advance to order fresh bread and pastries for your breakfast or picnic on the banks of the Dordogne. Orders are taken throughout the opening hours of our Sarlat campsite.
For even more conviviality, we rent out gas barbecues that you can bring to your accommodation, whether you’re in a mobile home, chalet or bedroom.
Additional rental
To simplify your stay at our Périgord campsite, you have the option of renting several items of equipment at the time of booking or during your stay. You can therefore come to Sarlat with lighter suitcases by reserving sheets and towels. A set of sheets for one bed costs €15, while towels and bath sheets cost €5 each.
If you’re staying in a mobile home or chalet, and your vacation is all about lazing around, you can opt for the cleaning package, which costs €70.
If you’re traveling with baby, we know from experience that the boot of your car will be too small. On request, we can provide you with a cot, mattress, bathtub and high chair free of charge.
Camping activities
To round off a rich day of sightseeing in the Périgord region, our campsite offers a wide range of free indoor and outdoor activities.
For a quiet moment, we have arranged books for all ages or board games in our library. So you can relax by the pool with a novel or thriller and continue your reading on the terrace of your accommodation. You can take the board games with you for a convivial family evening, and return them the next day.
For sports enthusiasts, there’s a choice of pétanque, table tennis, badminton and table soccer. We lend out rackets, shuttlecocks, balls and boules. Table soccer is available free of charge.
