The Eyrignac Gardens

Just a few minutes from Sarlat, the Gardens of the Manoir d’Eyrignac have been maintained by the same family for 22 generations! They were the first gardens to open to visitors in Dordogne.

You can wander through the 7 different spaces created within this magnificent park. Along the way, you will discover topiary art, the flower garden and the Japanese-inspired garden.

What makes Eyrignac truly original is its evening White Picnics, held in summer under the rays of the setting sun.

The Gardens of Marqueyssac

All year round, we invite you to discover the hanging gardens of Marqueyssac, with their belvedere overlooking the Dordogne. Every visitor is amazed by the rounded boxwood topiary, as well as the beauty of the park and château.

Over more than 6 kilometres of walking paths, you will discover over 150,000 hundred-year-old boxwoods, waterfalls, a water trail, peacocks roaming freely and many other surprises. Let yourself be won over by the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty of the views.

For thrill-seekers, a via ferrata is accessible in summer and runs along the cliff overlooking the river. For a more peaceful experience, on Thursday evenings, the garden is lit by 2,000 candles.
